FACULTY OF GENERAL MEDICINE

The main aim of the Faculty of General Medicine at the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine is to train high-quality specialists capable of solving complex tasks and problems related to public health, disease prevention, diagnosis, and human disease treatment. The Online MBBS Program is designed to form the professional competencies of future doctors by combining theoretical and practical pieces of training and principles of science-based medical practice in the healthcare field. The faculty of General Medicine integrates the study of subjects in English and Ukrainian, engaging industry professionals to supervise clinical practice and lead practical sessions for various courses.

The MBBS program at the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine is focused on training competitive specialists in the field of medicine able to cope with medical activities of different kinds, solve complex tasks and problems, deal with diagnosis and treatment, and use the knowledge of the biological, social, and psychological fields. International students learn to put methods based on knowledge of the functions of organs and organ systems into practice. Throughout the educational process, they gain knowledge of the impact of the ecosystem on the health of the population.

The Evaluation of the degree:

• Objective structured  practical (clinical) exam (OSP);
• International exam of the medicine basics;
• Professional English Exam. The English level of students is rated on the national scale (excellent, good, satisfactory, unsatisfactory, passed, not passed), 200-point scale, and ECTS scale (A, B, C, D, E, FX, F).

Practical Training

Practical training is an important component of training a doctor, pharmacist, or nurse at the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine. The knowledge and skills obtained while studying at clinical and theoretical departments are used by international students during practical training in the winter and the summer. The International Academy of Ecology and Medicine cooperates with over 200 most powerful medical preventive establishments and institutions in Kyiv, such as the Stomatological Medical Center, 10 sanitary epidemic stations, 4 pharmaceutical plants, and 7 pharmaceutical unions.

The internship programs at the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine help international students with orienting in clinical situations, the establishment of correct diagnosis, prescription of the corresponding treatment, rendering first aid, collecting the medicines due to the individual prescription, and developing the knowledge of clinical pharmacy, chemists, and industrial technology for the production of drugs.
