1. Do I need to pass any entrance tests to enter the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine (IAEM)?

No. There are no pre-examinations for admission to the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine. TOEFL, IELTS, etc. are also not required.

2. Are there any scholarships offered?

The International Academy of Ecology and Medicine does not offer scholarships. However, the cost of higher education in Ukraine is still affordable.

3. Will I be able to work in India after my return, gaining an MBBS/MD degree or Primary Medical Qualification in Ukraine?

Yes. According to the current regulations of the Medical Council of India (MCI), you can work in India. After graduating from the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine, you have to pass a Screening test, required by the National Board of Education (NBE), New Delhi. After passing the test, you will be provided with registration that will allow you to practice Medicine in India.

4. Can I expect to get a job in Medical Institutions and Hospitals in Kyiv?

Yes, sure. We are very glad to inform you, that after you complete the course you will be able to apply for various jobs in the medical field in Ukraine and abroad.

5. I want to become a student of the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine (IAEM), what documents do I need?

To enter the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine you should provide us with the following documents:

  • scanned copy of the main page of your passport (or any ID document you have, for example, the Birth Certificate or ID card);
  • scanned copy of School Certificate with Transcripts;
  • filled Application Form;
  • Bachelor’s degree certificate (for PG courses).

6. How much money do I need to live in Kyiv?

Living in Kyiv is cheap compared to other European countries. If you would like to live in Kyiv you need to have around 500 USD per month.

7. Does the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine (IAEM) provide hostels/dorms for international students?

Yes, the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine provides accommodation for international students. If the academy does not have places in the hostel or dormitory, or you do not want to live there, we will help you with looking for an apartment and renting it.

8. Where can I get a Student Visa?

Students are free to apply for the Study Visa after they receive the Invitation Letter from the Federal Migration Service of Ukraine. Please note that the Student Visa can be obtained at any local Ukrainian Embassy (consulate). It is not hard to get a Student Visa. International Academy of Ecology and Medicine will help you with each step of the admission process.

9. Where is Ukraine located?

Ukraine is situated in the southeastern part of Europe. It is the second-largest European country. Kyiv is the capital of Ukraine. It is surrounded by several countries: Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary to the west; Romania and Moldova to the southwest; Belarus to the north; Russia to the east and northeast. Ukraine is surrounded by the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea. Due to its comfortable location, it is easy and affordable to travel to Europe on weekends or travel to the Seaside in Odessa.

10. Are Ukrainian diplomas and universities recognized worldwide?

Yes, all universities in Ukraine are recognized globally. The degree you will earn at any Ukrainian university will be accepted worldwide as well. Therefore, graduates can both, work in Ukraine or go to any other country and apply for a qualified job there. The degree obtained in Ukraine gives the student excellent chances to build a career in any part of the world which was confirmed by many alumni already. Ukrainian diplomas are recognized by WHO, UNESCO, PLAB(UK), USMLE(USA), and throughout the EU.

11. What languages do I need to know to study in Ukraine?

Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. programs are available in English. If the international student prefers to study in the Ukrainian medium of instruction that is also possible after completing one year of the Preparatory Course.

12. How do I cover my tuition fee in Ukraine?

The student has to cover the complete first-year expenses prior to the beginning of the academic year. From the 2nd year, the payment may be conducted per semester.

13. Can I transfer money to and from Ukraine by bank or online banking?

The banking system in Ukraine is considered to be the most comfortable and fast among other EU countries. All the student needs to do is open a bank account at any bank in Ukraine and then the student may transfer or receive money anytime. Students can use their phones to operate online banking applications.

14. Are the university dormitories near the campuses?

Some dorms are situated near the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine and some are a bit far but not too far. Usually, it takes 15-20 minutes by foot to get to the campuses. Students can use public transport too if the dorms are not so near to the university. The transport system in Ukraine is convenient, so the student will not face any issues on the way. In addition, many students arrange a public travel ticket that gives a discount on many means of transport.

15. Do I have to come back to my home country after I get my diploma or can I stay in Ukraine?

It is not obligatory for the student to leave the country after graduation. Of course, some students go back to their homelands. However, many remain in Ukraine and find good jobs with decent salaries. A certain percentage of alumni go to other countries for career purposes. It is totally up to the student’s decision.

16. Is higher education free in Ukraine?

There is no free studying or scholarships available for foreign students in Ukraine.

17. What is the duration of the academic program in Ukraine?

The duration of the Bachelor’s program is 4 years. The Master’s program takes 2 more years. Medical courses in Ukraine last from 4 to 8 years.

18. Do students have to pay for study materials (books, laboratory notebooks, etc.)?

All necessary materials are provided by the International Academy of Ecology and Medicine and it is included in the Tuition fee. There are no extra expenses for international students.

19. What are the monthly living expenses in Ukraine for a foreign student?

Living as a student in Ukraine is far less expensive than in other European countries. The average monthly expenses for food are about 100-150 USD. You can live comfortably in Ukraine by spending about 500-800 USD per month (including renting an apartment, traveling, and food).

20. What is the Preparatory Course?

The Preparatory Course (PC) is a special educational program with a duration of 1 academic year. At the PC students study the Ukrainian language and the special disciplines required depending on the future specialty chosen (science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, computer science, etc). The student receives the Certificate of the Preparatory Course after its completion. After completion of PC, the student can join major programs in Ukrainian.

21. What are the most demanded programs to study in Ukraine?
